here are several hatches throughout a year in the Smokies. The goal is to match the hatch a close as possible with representation patterns. Some flies are "imitations" to many insects. Attractor patterns can sometimes be an anglers best friend, catching trout when nothing else seems to work. Here is a list of dry, nymph,terrestrial, and streamer patterns that work well on Smoky Mountain Streams.
